The Most Expensive Michael Jordan Basketball Card Ever Sold

Michael Jordan is without question the king of basketball cards. As the greatest player in NBA history, it’s no surprise that he has one of the largest and most passionate collector bases in the sports card hobby.

A common question is what’s Michael Jordan’s most expensive card?

Many would answer that question with his 1997 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems (PMG) Green that is serial numbered to just 10 copies or even his 1998 Metal Universe Gem Masters 1/1 Masterpiece. It’s estimated that both of those cards would currently sell for many millions of dollars on the open market. But they haven’t hit the open market in several years.

So that leads us to the next question of what’s the most expensive Michael Jordan card to ever sell?

The answer is the 2003-04 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection Ultimate Logos Signature #MJ-L Michael Jordan Signed Game-Used Logoman Patch Card (#1/1) – PSA Authentic, PSA/DNA GEM MT 10 that sold for $2.92 million on June 2, 2024 at Goldin Auctions below.

It may not have cracked the top 15 most expensive sports cards ever sold but MJ certainly has some other cards that would make that list if they ever hit the open market!
